At Chaco Canyon

Doors and walls at the Chaco Canyon National Historic Park. Chaco is 700 to
1000 years old.

There are original watertight roofs and ceilings at Chaco. The timbers had
to be hand hauled over 45 miles to this location.

The ruins at Chaco are huge and there are over 400 in the canyon.

More windows in a wall. Many of the original buildings where 3 and 4
stories tall.

The truly stunning thing about Chaco is the rock work. This is an example
of a wall. Look at how neatly all the rocks fit together.

One of the Kivas at Chaco. It is huge!
